Besides the annual Apple event in September, Apple will often have another one around March-April for the WWDC. Well, trusted sources have told Macrumors.com that the company is planning to announce new products this week with the new iPads, Macs and accessories.

However, the announcement by Apple may come out of nowhere instead of holding an event. This is not the first time that the company has done it since there were a couple of times that Apple just posted the news without telling anyone out of the blue. The iPhone SE is one fine example of this a few years ago.

According to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, Apple is preparing a new iPad Pro, iPad Air, and MacBook Air models, as well as a new Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencils for select iPads. Gurman also believes the new products will appear on the official Apple website. As for the WWDC, there may be a "series of online videos and marketing campaigns" this month or in April.

About the event in March or April, here are some of the products expected to make their debut according to sources online:

  • Two new iPad Pro models with the M3 chip, OLED displays, a thinner enclosure, a landscape-oriented front camera, a redesigned rear camera bump and other design tweaks, and possibly MagSafe wireless charging
  • Two new iPad Air models with the M2 chip, including a first-ever 12.9-inch model
  • A new Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro with a larger trackpad, a partially-aluminum enclosure, and other design tweaks
  • At least one new Apple Pencil
  • New 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models with the M3 chip and the laptops will likely gain support for Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3
  • A new colour option for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus has not been definitively rumoured, but it is likely based on precedent
  • New colour options for iPhone cases and Apple Watch bands
