Apple users prefer Amazon and Netflix over Apple TV - CIRP

Based on the latest report by Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP) on TV streaming services, Netflix dominates the major streaming service charts. So, what should you know about it?

For your information, it was found that about three-quarters of Apple customers use it. This is in stark contrast to Apple's service, which is through Apple TV, which only ranks 7th out of 8 major streaming services. Hulu and Amazon Prime, which are not far behind in 2nd and 3rd place respectively, have managed to rip off about 60% of Apple's customer base.

In addition, even smaller entertainment providers are also trumping Apple, with 35% to nearly 50% opting to subscribe to Disney+, Peacock and Paramount+. Meanwhile, Max (formerly HBO) has a smaller share, about a quarter of Apple's subscribers. CIRP concluded that Apple TV will remain a side business for Apple. However, as hardware sales continue to slow, Apple will increasingly rely on services revenue, including Apple TV, for growth and profitability.

Moreover, Apple's investments in live sports, particularly Major League Soccer and Sunday Night Major League Baseball, are a step in that direction, but Amazon Prime Video has already made seemingly bigger deals with the NFL and NBA.
