Apple recently came out with a voluntary recall notice for older 15-inch MacBook Pro units sold between September 2015 and February 2017 that may be prone to overheating. So, if you bought a 15-inch MacBook Pro during that time period, you can send it in for a free battery replacement (which should take 1 to 2 weeks).

To check if you’re eligible go to About This Mac from the Apple Menu and confirm that your model is “MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015).” If it is, go to this page and enter your serial number to see if you qualify. After which, if you are affected, Apple heartily recommends you to immediately stop using your device. For more of the latest tech news stay tuned to TechNave.com
