The iOS interface has not been much different since iOS 7, which abandoned the skeuomorphic design. Later on iOS, it was given several iterations but maintained a flat design, which is now quite old. According to a Bloomberg report, Apple will introduce a new interface design at WWDC on June 10. So, what should you know about it?
For your information, it was developed using the code name Solarium, and it is said to have taken inspiration from the light-permeable glass surface. These interface elements have been used in visionOS and will now be extended to iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS and watchOS. So far, no Solarium design elements have been released.
Moreover, this step taken by Apple comes at the right time because Android 16 will use the Google Material 3 Expressive design, which is more expressive and practical compared to previous designs. With all modern operating systems looking like two of the same, a fresh new design is needed.
