While Android brands tend to forge ahead with new features, Apple tends to lag way behind. The only exception is when the company is the pioneer instead. That's the same for under-display cameras, which might not come to iPhones anytime soon.

According to Kuo Ming-chi, Apple might introduce an under-display Face ID in 2024 with the iPhone 16 series. He claimed that this late adoption is not due to any technical issue. Instead, the company is leaving it for much later for marketing purposes.

In other words, we can expect this year's and 2023's iPhones to feature a notch. Previous rumours even suggested that the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max could feature cutouts on the front that look like a horizontal exclamation mark. This could mean that there would be two front cameras, plus a potential front LED flash.

Of course, these rumours haven't been confirmed, so take them with a grain of salt. Having said that, which would you prefer - the notch or punch-hole/cutout? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more updates on this.
