Apply and get your permission from the Royal Malaysia Police before buying public transport tickets for interstate travel!

PDRM has announced the application and schedule for interstate travel recently for each state from 1 May 2020 to 3 May 2020. Meanwhile, for those who are looking to travel back to the city with public transport are advised to apply for permission or travel permit from the Royal Malaysia Police.

According to the Ministry of Transport (MOT), the green light for interstate travel during movement control order (MCO) is expected to bring a whole new movement of people in using public transport services when airlines resumed their domestic flights. In order to avoid any losses which have to borne by the public transport users, the public is advised to apply for permission at the nearest police station first before purchasing any travel tickets.

As MCO is not lifted, the MOT also stressed on precautionary measures for Covid-19 set by the Ministry of Health (MOH) such as social distancing, putting on the face mask while onboard, and maintaining safety and hygiene still need to be followed by those who are traveling back to the city especially for public transport users.
