If you are a fan of Dota 2 and Valorant, this news might catch your attention. The Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 Grand Finals will start soon. That said, what should you know about it?
For your information, this tournament will assemble the 26 best teams for Dota 2 and Valorant. All of them vying for a total prize pool of $200000 (~RM929400). Winners for each game will bag $65000 (~RM302055). The runners-up will go home with $20000 (~RM92940), while third and fourth-place winners will earn $7500 (~RM34852).
The Predator League started in 2018 and it has been the home ground of up-and-coming esports talents. This tournament will be held for 2 days. Interestingly, it also features meet-and-greet sessions with Predator ambassadors, and performances by iconic Filipino artists. That includes Urbandub, AlJames, Ylona Garcia, UPeepz and many more. Andrew Hou, President of Acer Pan Asia Pacific said:
“The Asia Pacific Predator League is a regional tournament that helps Acer connect with the gaming community. Beyond that, it culls the esports athletes with the most potential from the best of the best. This year’s Grand Finals is unlike any other. By combining the best of gaming, music, and entertainment, we are breaking down barriers and allowing more people to be part of a thriving esports community,”
But that is not the end of it, Acer also announced the next host country for this tournament. Can you guess who? It’s none other than our beloved country, Malaysia. So, you might be able to watch it next year.
