Starting today, Astro customers can subscribe to the Disney+ Basic and Prime Video packages from RM25 per month, excluding SST. The packages also come with the Astro Blockbuster Pack, which includes four Film & Entertainment channels, namely Astro Showtime (CH 411), Astro FAM Time (CH 412), Rock Action (CH 414) and Rock X Stream (CH 415). You can also subscribe to the Prime Video package only for RM15 a month.

For your information, if you only want a Prime Video subscription, Astro also offers a separate package at RM15 per month. The subscription also comes with the Blockbuster Pack. The offer for both packages is open until 14 August 2026.

Apart from Hollywood content, Astro is also introducing WeTV and Viu Premium packages in one subscription at RM15 per month. The offer, valid until 4 September 2026, provides access to various Chinese dramas, Korean series, Malay dramas, variety shows, and exclusive content from both platforms.

Astro Daebak Channel

Meanwhile, Astro also announced the launch of Astro Daebak (CH 393) starting 1 July 2026. The channel, powered by tvN, will focus on Korean dramas and variety shows, thus increasing the selection of Korean content offered to Astro customers.

Moreover, Astro said that Astro Daebak will be available to all Astro customers and complements the existing Korean content offering, which also includes tvN, tvN Movies, KBS World and K-Plus. The new channel is also introduced following the global termination of ONE HD channel operations.

All these offers can be enjoyed through the Astro One Pack, which starts from as low as RM49.99 per month. New customers can subscribe through Astro, while existing customers can add to the package via the My Astro app or website.

Personally, we feel it’s a good offer from Astro. However, there are a lot of alternatives for Malaysians, such as Netflix, Prime Video and even HBO Max at a more reasonable price for what they have to offer. What are your thoughts on the deal? Feel free to leave your comments below.
