If you’re an Astro subscriber, do note that you will be subjected to a new bill payment due date soon, which is 5 days shorter than what it was before. Previously, the bill payment due date is 30 days after a customer’s billing date, but starting 1 October 2022, it will be revised to 25 days.

According to Astro's official website, the company said that this change is made to “allow customers to enjoy uninterrupted viewing when they make payments before the next bill is generated for the following month”. Astro also urges its customers to check their latest monthly bill statement for more info regarding the new change.

Of course, this change will most likely only affect those that pay their Astro bills manually as they need to be aware of the changed bill payment due date. For those that have set up auto-debit for their Astro bills, it should be deducted automatically from your respective cards as per usual.

Besides that, the Astro official website further asserted that should subscribers fail to pay their bills before the revised due dates, their Astro account will be suspended. Moreover, if you wish to reconnect your subscription, there will be a charge of RM21.20 (inclusive of 6 per cent SST) upon reconnection.
