Looks like Astro subscribers and enthusiasts are in for a surprise. Recently, Astro has announced via its official website that it will be halting new sales and customer registrations for Astro Fibre effective 1 February 2026, until a later date. That said, what should you know about it?
Astro is reviewing its business strategy
For your information, Astro stated that this move was taken after conducting a strategic review of its business. Astro emphasises that for existing customers and those who sign up before 1 February 2026, they will continue to offer full services, including customer service support as usual.
With this move, it remains unclear whether Astro will return to the broadband internet business. Previously, Astro offered internet subscription bundles and also their content access at prices starting at RM139.99 per month for 500Mbps internet with content bundles.
