The handheld boom may have slowed down a bit, but major handheld manufacturers like Ayaneo continue to make new ones every year. Yesterday, the company hosted a live stream to share some of its latest products. Among them is a Nintendo DS-like console called the Ayaneo Pocket DS.

First dual-screen Android console

The Ayaneo Pocket DS was actually first introduced in an Indiegogo campaign on 18 August 2025. Although there are still roughly 50 days left to go, the company has already met and far exceeded its funding goal. To date, the campaign has 1256 backers and has collected approximately RM 3 million. The campaign backers are expected to start receiving the device in October 2025.
