BYD Malaysia has teased the updated 2025 BYD Seal, signalling that it is arriving soon. Prices for the current lineup run from RM163800 for the Dynamic, RM179800 for the Premium, and RM199800 for the Performance variant—all nett, excluding on-the-road costs.

What we could expect

The refreshed Seal, previewed earlier in Singapore, introduces several incremental upgrades. These include a larger 53-litre frunk (up from 50 litres), new alloy wheel designs, and a powered roof sunshade.

These updates are complemented by the introduction of BYD’s DiSus-C adaptive damping suspension system, aimed at improving ride handling and comfort.

In Singapore, the Performance variant offers a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup with a combined output of 530PS and 670Nm, powered by an 82.5kWh Blade battery, and delivers a WLTP range of 520KM.

Safety and driver-assistance features are comprehensive, including nine airbags, a surround-view camera system, parking sensors, ISOFIX anchors, adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane-keep assist, traffic-sign recognition, blind-spot detection, cross-traffic alerts, door-opening warning, high-beam assist, and a head-up display.

Beyond Malaysia, the updated Seal has already landed in Indonesia. The Premium and Performance variants there feature the same DiSus-C suspension, a panoramic sunroof, redesigned 19-inch alloy wheels, and added conveniences like an NFC-based digital key, Bluetooth smart access, and a sunglasses holder.

Powertrain outputs and battery specs match the Singapore configuration, with WLTP-like ranges reaching up to 650KM for the Premium and 580KM for the Performance variant. Charging capability is supported via 150kW DC and 7kW AC.
