BYD is now introducing their new offering called “ Lingyuan ”, which is a mount that is installed on BYD cars, allowing drones to be released from the top of the vehicle for several purposes. BYD is collaborating with DJI for this purpose. So, what should you know about it?

For your information, by having a drone on a vehicle, it allows users to also use it for exploration purposes, and see the journey ahead more easily – such as seeing road traffic conditions and what's ahead during congestion.

Additionally, a drone-release technology is also seen to be integrated with vehicle controls, making it easier for drivers to release and return drones to the vehicle. This “Lingyuan” offering is seen to be available for all BYD vehicle models on the market.

The drone is also said to be able to follow vehicles at speeds of up to 54km/h. If the drone's battery is low, it will return to the vehicle to recharge. BYD aims to make driving more exciting with this integration. At the moment, the selling price of this drone and its pod for the global market is still unknown.
