Recently, Bank Islam shared that it will fully terminate Be U by 31 July 2026. That said, what should you know about it?

This change is long overdue

For your information, Bank Islam has been ready to stop new registrations for the Be U digital banking application since last May. At that time, Bank Islam had stated its intention to migrate Be U users to Bank Islam banking accounts.

According to Bank Islam, after July 31, 2026, users will no longer be able to use the Be U Visa Debit card, and recurring payments will also not be allowed. Your U account statements must also be downloaded before July 31, 2026, for future reference, as they will not be accessible after that.

For Be U users, you can choose to transfer the entire funds in your account to another bank account, or Bank Islam, just like doing a regular DuitNow transfer before the relevant date. In parallel with the termination of Be U, Bank Islam aims to continue to improve their main banking application, BIMB Mobile, to provide more convenience and flexibility in managing finances. For those of you who use Be U, you can transfer your funds to Bank Islam or others immediately before 31 July 2026.
