Beam Malaysia today announced that it now operates in six major cities in our country, namely Kuala Lumpur, Ampang Jaya, Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam, Kuantan and Langkawi. Furthermore, the company recorded 65 per cent higher sign-ups last year compared to 2022, boasting a user database of over 800,000 people.

In a press release, Beam Malaysia said that its presence in these 6 major cities has made a positive impact on the way citizens move around. In Klang Valley alone, 100,000 trips on Beam’s e-scooters were undertaken by riders travelling to or from a public transportation facility such as the MRT, LRT, or bus station.

The company said that this is a clear sign that Malaysians are receptive towards using Beam’s e-scooters to complete the first and last mile of their journeys. Moreover, the total distance travelled on Beam’s shared e-scooters for 2022 was recorded at over 2,000,000 kilometres.

With its strong performance in 2022 and evolving public perception about shared micromobility services, Beam Malaysia stressed that it fully intends to offer its shared e-scooters in as many Malaysian cities as possible, with the aim to improve how cities flow while giving back to the environment. Accordingly, the company is offering a Weekly Pass promo which users can use to enjoy unlimited rides starting from RM9.99 per week.

This pass is limited to 15 minutes per day and can be utilised by users as their go-to option for first and last-mile transport. Besides that, frequent Beam users can also take advantage of Beam’s 50% off promo on its Zero Unlock Fees Monthly Pass.
