Hey readers, hope you had a great February. Starting this month, we're making our best prepaid/postpaid/broadband articles a monthly thing. Since most don't have the habit of checking for telco deals regularly, we'll do that for you! Here's last month's summary for reference.

Of course, the monthly fees and offerings of postpaid packages are unlikely to change much. But sometimes there are promotions that are worth looking into. With that said, let's check out the best mobile prepaid plans for the budget-conscious as of February 2023 and see if there's anything new.

Best postpaid options under RM60

While postpaid plans are usually pricier than their prepaid counterparts, you can still find good options that are under RM60/month. Depending on what you prefer, you'll usually want to go for an unlimited data plan or high-speed data. Note that there are some new options this month, which we've listed below.

In this price range, U Mobile's U Postpaid 38 plan is a solid choice. Then there's Unifi's Uni5G Postpaid 65, which is pricier but doesn't lock you down to a 24-month contract. You could also opt for Digi and its Postpaid 60 plan, as the company has very fast speeds and great coverage. If what you need is more wireless hotspot data, go for the Yes Infinite Basic instead.

Digi Postpaid 60 (RM60/month) - 40GB 4G data, unlimited calls, RM0.10/SMS, bonus 10GB Quota for 12 months, unlimited social media, unlimited video streaming

U Mobile U Postpaid 38 (RM38/month) - 60GB 4G/5G data, unlimited calls, ultra hotspot 5G

Yes Infinite Basic (RM58/month) - Unlimited 4G/5G, uncapped speed, unlimited calls, 20GB wireless hotspot

Unifi Uni5G Postpaid 65 (RM55/month) - 60GB 4G/5G data, unlimited calls, 10GB wireless hotspot, no contract

Best postpaid options under RM100

Got a slightly bigger budget for your phone bill? Well, then you could go for something under RM100/month. This category has plans with many value-added features, such as extra data for video streaming, social media, and cloud gaming. As for the plans that don't have these extra features, they tend to offer plenty of data instead.

The under RM100/month category didn't see much change this time, so you're still looking at the same options we have last month. Our suggestion is to go for Celcom if you want the wider coverage and cloud gaming, but pick Maxis if you want things like live football matches (via Sooka) while out and about. Those who just want lots of data can pick U Mobile's top postpaid plan. For more details, refer to the list below.

Maxis Postpaid 98 (RM98/month) - 50GB high-speed data, unlimited calls, unlimited SMS, free access to Sooka, free Viu Premium, unlimited data roaming (RM3.30/day)

Celcom MEGA Lightning 80 (RM80/month) - 50GB high-speed data, 1x VR content, 1-month Blacknut Cloud Gaming, 1-month TVBAnywhere+, unlimited calls, free 5G access (limited time)

Please note that the plans listed above are without add-ons and service/government taxes applied, so your final monthly fee should be slightly higher. But if you're trying to keep your monthly expenses low, getting the plans under RM60/month is still your best bet. For more details, check the respective websites.
