The realme 12 Pro series has been in the rumour mills for a while and it looks like its launch date is getting closer. The company has been promoting the imminent release of the lineup, with the latest teaser confirming the series to feature a periscope camera.
On its official Indian website, realme took a dig at 200MP sensors on other smartphones out there, claiming that beyond the megapixel count, periscope awaits. Furthermore, the company is also offering a trade-in programme in India where you can trade in your 200MP smartphone to get an extra realme Buds Air when buying the 12 Pro series, though terms and conditions do apply.
realme also showed sample shots from the periscope camera being sharper than one shot with a 200MP camera. Of course, this doesn’t mean that the 12 Pro series will not feature a 200MP sensor, with rumours pointing to the periscope camera itself being equipped with a sensor with the same megapixel count.
