Beyond Esports from Thailand, has emerged as the champions of a tournament called TECS featuring Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, which was hosted in Penang over the weekend. The champions will be bringing home the grand prize of up to RM20000, the first runner up AOES as well as Frostfire in joint 3rd and 4th placing won themselves RM10000 and RM6000 respectively.

In conjunction with the tournament, The Pantheon Group unveiled future plans on growing the esports industry in Malaysia as well as across South East Asia. The esports industry has been expanding and gaining traction worldwide, with expected revenue growth of to as high as 1.1 Billion USD by 2021.
