Black Shark 2 Pro with up to 12GB RAM, SD 855+, is now official in Malaysia starting from RM2499

Today, the Black Shark 2 Pro which was unveiled in China back in July, has swim its way to our local shores officially. Available in Shadow Black, Iceberg Grey, Gulf Blue and Glory Blue, mobile gaming fans would be thrilled to know that the price tag comes at an affordable starting price of RM2499 and here's everything you need to know about our local set.

The sale has begun today (3 September 2019) at 4.30 PM for fans and consumers on its online platform at Lazada and Shopee. There are also two variants based on memory - an 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB model, which the latter cost RM2999 in Glory Blue. In addition, the early birds will be able to get a limited edition Black Shark 10,000mAh powerbank that was designed for the phone. On the front, the Black Shark 2 Pro sports a 6.39-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a polling rate up to 240Hz (not refresh rate). It also has improved haptic feedback, an in-display fingerprint scanner, a 20MP front camera and a dual stereo speaker for the gamers

To the back, the design has not changed much but it does come with a 48MP + 12MP dual rear camera

There is also a new Liquid Cooling System 3.0+ version, it's said to be able to cool down at 14-degrees

In case you didn't know, the Black Shark 2 Pro features the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chipset (clocking up to 2.96GHz) + Adreno 640 GPU, and running on Android 9.0 (Pie) out of the box

To the bottom, there's a dual-SIM card slot which doesn't feature expandable memory but the storage is using a UFS 3.0 version. USB C that's capable of fast charging the 4000mAh battery with 27W. Unfortunately, there's no 3.5mm headphone jack but there's a Type-C to 3.5mm Audio Jack Adapter provided in the box
