Blackberry appoints John Giamatte as the new CEO

Remember those Blackberry smartphones? Recently, the company appointed John Giamatte as the new CEO. Starting today, John will replace John Chen, who resigned last month.

Previously, Giamatte was the president of the company's cybersecurity business. Notably, Blackberry also announced that it will separate its cybersecurity business and the Internet of Things (IoT). The company also retracted the production license for third-party companies last year.

As a result, there will be no future Blackberry smartphones since the company stopped its production in 2016. We have yet to confirm other details on this appointment. Hopefully, everything will go smoothly for the company.
