BlizzCon 2019: Everything about Diablo IV, Overwatch 2 and WoW: Shadowlands announcement

While many gamers may frown upon Blizzard's actions on a certain Hearthstone progamer, the company may have redeemed themselves (sort of) by announcing three big triple-A titles at BlizzCon 2019 - the long-awaited Diablo IV, Overwatch 2, and World of WarCraft: Shadowlands expansion. Without further ado, here's everything you need to know.

Diablo IV - Hell has cometh

One might think how will the franchise continue after the defeat of Diablo (again) and Malthael, as well as the Black Soulstone destruction. Well, Blizzard revealed that the aftermath left Sanctuary living in dark times. From the trailer, the new evil is none other than Lilith who happens to be the daughter of Mephisto. As always, the trailer is gorgeous.

Diablo IV will continue to be an ARPG game that veterans came to love with familiar classes such as the Barbarian, Sorceress, and the return of the Druid class from Diablo II. From the gameplay, it retains similar features from Diablo III but more flexibility in running and jumping around the environment. In total, there will be five classes which the other two aren't revealed yet.

Overwatch 2 - A surprise sequel

Overwatch returns with a new look where the characters get a new makeover. Nothing too drastic with just minimal changes here and there, but perhaps the most important one is that Blizzard is planning to include new co-op missions with up to four players and Hero Missions can be replayed. There is also a new Team vs Team map called Push, where the team may take control of a robot and the one that pushes it the furthest wins the game.

In addition, Overwatch 1 players may transfer their accomplishments and loots collections over to the new sequel, this includes all the skins, player icons, sprays, emotes and many more. You can also definitely expect more maps and heroes to be added into the game.

WoW Shadowlands - More trouble from Sylvanas

If you've been following the lore of WarCraft, the latest trailer shows us Sylvanas Windrunner arriving at the Frozen Throne and defeated Bolvar Fordragon, Jailer of the Damned in an epic one-on-one cinematic fight. After that, she tore the Lich King helmet apart and opened a veil between the living and the dead.

In the new expansion, WoW players will get to explore a new continent called the Shadowlands (duh) as well as new zones called Revendreth, Ardenweald, Maldraxxus and Bastion. It seems that the theme in this expansion is life and death, where players can choose whichever "covenant" class to gain new abilities and skills. Of course, there are also new dungeons and raids for the hardcore guilds, such as the Tower of the Damned.

Shadowlands is now available for pre-purchase in-game and through the Blizzard Shop, BUT what do you folks think? We are pretty excited about Diablo IV the most. For more information, you can watch the free livestream here and stay tuned for more BlizzCon news at TechNave.com.
