Bolt Malaysia has launched its new instant Early Cash Out feature, giving eligible partner drivers the ability to withdraw their earnings anytime, any day of the week. This move, already implemented in other Bolt markets, underscores the company’s commitment to improving financial flexibility and independence for its driver partners.

Supporting Drivers’ Daily Financial Needs

In Malaysia, thousands of e-hailing drivers rely heavily on daily earnings to cover essential expenses such as fuel, meals, and household costs. A recent Bolt Malaysia survey revealed that over 70% of drivers depend on e-hailing as their main source of income, with many using it to support their families. Given the ongoing challenges of rising living costs and fluctuating fuel prices, quick access to income can significantly ease daily financial pressures.

How the Early Cash Out Feature Works

Eligible drivers—those active for at least two weeks and with a minimum of 25 completed trips—can now withdraw their balance once per day as long as sufficient funds are available. Each withdrawal has a nominal RM3 processing fee and a minimum cash-out amount of RM1, allowing drivers to access their income as needed without waiting for the weekly payout cycle.

Afzan Lutfi, General Manager of Bolt Malaysia, explained that for many drivers, this feature helps bridge the gap between completing a trip and being able to use the earnings immediately. “It’s a small change that removes a lot of stress, especially at the end of a long day,” he said.

Empowering Drivers Through Financial Flexibility

The Early Cash Out feature aligns with Bolt’s broader mission to empower Malaysians to earn, manage, and grow their income through e-hailing. By enabling daily access to earnings, the company aims to help drivers better navigate financial uncertainties—from fluctuating fuel prices to unplanned expenses—while improving their ability to plan ahead.

Part of Bolt’s Ongoing Driver-First Commitment

This rollout is part of Bolt Malaysia’s wider initiative to strengthen its driver-first platform with transparent earnings, sustainable commissions, and features shaped by direct driver feedback. The company continues to invest in technology and support services that enhance driver experience, including streamlined in-app tools, improved onboarding, and expanded earning opportunities across the country.
