It's interesting to see the variety of sources that can provide us with leaks or hints at new products. In the case of Bose, possible evidence of a new Bose headset was found in one of the company's apps. Specifically, the Bose Connect app has code strings that hint at a new Bose Quiet Comfort 35 II Gaming Headset.

Like most audio brands, Bose uses the Bose Connect app to allow users to connect Bose headphones to their mobile device. Recently, the good people from 9to5Google found something new in the latest update of the Android version of the app. In the app's coding, references to a new device with the codename 'Tibbers' were found. Also, it's said that the product name for the device is the "Bose QC35 II Gaming Headset". This would mean it's an entirely new product, as there hasn't been a gaming variant for the Bose QC35 II before this.

Coding within the app that hints at the new headset

For your information, the Bose QC35 II is a wireless headphone that comes with active noise cancellation. It's easily one of the best wireless headphones with ANC on the market, but the microphones here are built into the frame of the headphones itself. If you look at the visuals provided by 9to5Google, it seems like the gaming headset variant will support some kind of plug-in microphone via an AUX port.

We're not sure whether this is a completely new variant or just an accessory for the QC35 II, but if the update for the app is out this early then whatever this is could be coming soon. Having said that, what do you think about it? Does Bose need a gaming variant for what's already a very good product?
