Both the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro are using the same battery capacity

iPhone battery topics are popular for two reasons - the battery capacity is usually never disclosed by Apple during their presentation and hardcore geeks have to find it out by themselves. We have written some news about the latest iPhone 12 series battery capacity but here's an interesting one - the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro have the same battery capacity (lol).

Thanks to a teardown video from a Chinese YouTuber, he managed to give us a first look at the internal hardware from the two iPhones. Most of the hardware is the same, with the exception of the LiDAR connector and scanner from the iPhone 12 Pro. Furthermore, the battery pack size is also the same which is 2815mAh which debunks the previous rumour of 2775mAh.

With this, all the iPhone 12 models' battery capacity now confirmed. The iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max are 2227mAh and 2687mAh respectively. It may seem odd that all the new iPhone 12 models have a slightly smaller battery capacity than the predecessors, but this may be due to making room for 5G and new camera features inside the pro variants. However, we also have to keep the account that the new A14 Bionic chipset is also more efficient in battery distribution and app optimization thanks to the 5nm SoC.

The iPhone 12 series Malaysia launch is coming real soon as the telcos have already put up teasers on their websites. We are betting that November is the window timing for the arrival. Until then, stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
