Brand new Maxis concept store is now open in The Gardens Mid Valley with a virtual assistant, a top-up kiosk, coffee baristas and more

Today, Maxis has unveiled a brand new concept store at The Gardens Mid Valley. This is actually a first of its kind concept store that infuses a new design language for a more personalized digital experience, with an engaging and rewarding interaction for the customers.

The concept store is not your typical store as it hosts a few sections such as an actual cafe with baristas serving you coffee while you wait, personal demos, app-enabled self-services and more. Here's the gist of what you can find in the new Maxis concept store:

Maxis Interactive Retail Assistant (MIRA, behind the speaker's back) - A web app assistant that gives customers information about Maxis promos, customized offers and more

A closer look at MIRA (left). And on the right, it has 11 units of 98-inch screens. One of the features includes a voice-recognition screen, which a Maxis personnel can share comparisons of two smartphones at one go

Discovery app for all demo devices - This app allows customers to compare devices, pricing, plans and accessories through an interactive screen.

This section here is called The Forest, where customers can have a hands-on on Apple, Samsung, OPPO, Xiaomi and Huawei phones. There's also a retail analytics - A tool that Maxis uses to better understand their customers. This includes their time spent in-store, zone engagement and sentiment

RFID - Customers will be able to feel free to self-browse the accessories, without any cable lockdown on via wireless security

Mobile Point-of-Sale (MPOS) and wireless biometrics - Allowing Maxis personnel to serve their customers anywhere in the store. And yes, you can replace your SIM card and do a top-up on your Hotlink in the store too

In addition, Maxis has also collaborated with several brands to complement its customers' needs through tailor-made events and activities. So starting this month, the Maxis concept store will have a gaming zone by Razer where the customers can participate to win exciting prizes.
