Prime Minister Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced that the 2024 Mercy Cash Contribution (STR) payment for Phase 4 will be distributed to eligible recipients from 7 November 2024, involving an allocation of RM1.7 billion. So, what should you know about it?

In another development, Anwar who is also the Minister of Finance announced that the 2025 STR and Compassionate Contribution (SARA) will receive an increase of RM13 billion. Among the improvements include the single category that will receive assistance at a new rate, which is as much as RM600. The maximum household rate also increased to RM4600 compared to RM3700 last year.
