CES 2018: Lenovo releases new laptop products to basic home usage starting from ~RM801

Lenovo didn't miss out the CES 2018 party and boy, do they have a lot of products to show off. There are new X1 Tablet, X1 Carbon, X1 Yoga, Miix 630 2-in-1 Detachable, a Smart Display and a ThinkVision X1 monitor. Currently, all prices are in USD but let's see what the products offer before we get into that.

First up, the ThinkPad X1 Tablet comprises a full PC performance inside the 13-inch 3K display body featuring an Intel 8th Gen Intel Core processor, compatible with HDR2 and has an improved and optional global LTE-A connectivity. On top of that, it also features a facial recognition via IR camera, an optional Lenovo Pen Pro and quick charging for up to 30 days of battery life.

Next, ThinkPad X1 Carbon is one of the newest and thinnest 14-inch commercial laptops now packing some interesting features like Glance Eye tracking, 360-degrees Far Field Communication for voice control and even ThinkShutter Camera Privacy if you're actually paranoid of anyone seeing you. Battery life is quite long as it can standby up to 15 hours and you won't have to worry about charging long because it has Rapid Charge, a one-hour charge is said to add up to 12 hours of usage.

The X1 Yoga also has the exact same features as the X1 Carbon, plus using the latest 8th Gen Intel Core processors and an all-new Premium Dolby Vision capable display.

Moving on, the new Miix 630 is Lenovo's latest Windows 10 S 2-in-1 detachable laptop. Integrated with 4G LTE connectivity, the device uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset and can stay up to 20 hours of video playback without the power cable attached to the battery. As a detachable laptop, the 12.3-inch WUXGA+ touchscreen tablet can connect to a lightweight full-sized keyboard easily and its standby mode lets you stay connected with up-to-the-minute emails, notifications, message syncing and Skype calls in standby mode – all without draining your battery.

Last but not least, the Lenovo Smart Display with Google Assistant built-in sports an 8 or 10-inch screen, a Qualcomm Home Hub Platform based on the Qualcomm SDA 624 SoC. Designed for home-based usage, it's available in soft grey or natural bamboo colour matching most wooden, glass or granite tabletops, it's also flexible as it can be positioned a digital picture frame, horizontally or vertically to fit nearly any space.

The updated 27-inch UHD display features one of the world’s slimmest profiles at just 4.7mm and four-side near borderless bezels. The ThinkVision X1 is not just about appearance though. The Thunderbolt™ 3 port offers a true one-cable solution for this display that boasts more than 99% sRGB 10-bit color gamut to produce images that are bright and vivid.
