Global pandemic woes aren't going away anytime soon and many events are still expected to stay offline. That's the same for next year's Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2021, which is now confirmed to be a digital-only event. Event organiser Consumer Technology Association (CTA) made the announcement yesterday.

According to the announcement, CES 2021 will be an all-digital event to be held from 11 to 14 January 2021. This is because the COVID-19 pandemic is still a major concern in the US, which means it's not feasible to host a live event in Las Vegas as usual. Anyway, CES 2021 will start with a media exclusive day on 11 January, so you can expect some big brands to do their major reveals on that day.

In terms of the event theme, CES 2021 will likely focus a lot on 5G. Verizon CEO will give the opening keynote for the event, talking about 5G as the framework for the 21st century. Besides that, you'll be able to watch other keynotes, product showcases, and live demos. Overall, it'll be interesting to see how CTA structures CES 2021.
