Yesterday, most of the laptops revealed at CES 2022 were of the gaming variety. These laptops tend to have a particular design, including a black chassis and flashy lights. But if you want something more elegant, check out the new ASUS ZenBook OLED laptops.
Zenbook 17 Fold OLED (UX9702)
The first of the bunch is the ZenBook 17 Fold OLED, ASUS' latest star product for its ZenBook series. This laptop can be considered a foldable device or the world's first foldable laptop, as it comes with a foldable OLED screen. It comes with a large 17.3-inch 2.5K touchscreen OLED panel (4:3 aspect ratio) that can fold in the middle, forming two smaller 12.5-inch 1920x1280 screens (3:2 aspect ratio). This display comes with a 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, Dolby Vision HDR support, and is PANTONE Validated.
With the full-size detachable ASUS ErgoSense Bluetooth keyboard and touchpad, you can use the ZenBook 17 Fold OLED as a laptop PC and tablet. It also has a set of powerful Harman Kardon-certified speakers so you can enjoy movies and videos. In terms of specs, this model packs the new 12th Gen Intel Core i7 U-series CPUs and Intel Iris Xe graphics.
Zenbook 14X OLED Space Edition (UX5401)
Next is the Zenbook 14X OLED Space Edition, a special-edition laptop with a space-themed design. It has a 14-inch 2.8K OLED display, as well as a 3.5-inch OLED companion display on the laptop lid that can show customised messages and animations. The main display supports a refresh rate of 90Hz and a colour gamut of 100% DCI-P3. It's also DisplayHDR True Black 500 and TUV Rheinland-certified.
As for its specs and features, this laptop comes with a 12th Gen Intel Core i9 H-Series CPU, 32GB of RAM, and Intel Iris Xe graphics. It also has a PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD and supports WiFi-6 (Intel WiFi 6E). As a bonus, this laptop is compliant with the US Space Systems Command Standard SMC-S-016A testing protocols, so it's tough enough to handle space travel (just in case lol).
Zenbook 14 OLED (UX3402)
The third model is the ZenBook 14 OLED, a sleek laptop that's designed to be ultra-portable. It comes with a new lid design, elegant Aqua Celadon and Ponder Blue colours. This is a more powerful version of the Zenbook 14X OLED that was launched in Malaysia last month. Anyway, it packs a 14-inch 2.8K OLED display that supports a refresh rate of 90Hz and a colour gamut of 100% DCI-P3.
As for the specs, this model uses Intel's new 12th Gen Intel Core i9 H-Series CPU, up to 16GB of RAM, and Intel Iris Xe graphics. It also has an ultrafast PCIe 4.0 SSD, a 75 Wh battery, and Intel WiFi 6E. Like the other two models above, the ZenBook 14 OLED comes with Harman Kardon-certified speakers and supports Dolby Atmos.
