As you would expect, CES 2026 has plenty of new reveals for tech fans to see. Most of them are improvements to current tech or new ones, but there are also full products that will launch in the coming months. One of them is Motorola's book-style foldable smartphone, the Motorola Razr Fold.

Motorola's first book-style foldable

That's right, Motorola's next foldable uses the horizontal book-style fold form factor, instead of the flip-style from before. The Razr Fold features an 8.1-inch main LTPO display with 2K resolution, plus a 6.6-inch cover screen to use when the phone is folded. Not much else was revealed, but the photos on the Motorola website do offer some insights.

First off, we know that the phone comes in Pantone Lily White and Pantone Blackened Blue (it's definitely black). Design-wise, the phone has a textured section near the rear cameras, which may offer some extra grip when taking landscape shots. According to GSMArena, we're getting a 50MP Sony LYTIA main camera, 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. There's also a 32MP front camera on the cover screen and a 20MP front camera on the main screen.

Motorola's website also shows that the Razr Fold will be AI-ready, so expect it to have AI image enhancement or advanced search functions. One of the photos revealed a stylus, but it's unknown if the stylus will be included with the device or is an optional accessory.

Local availability unlikely

Currently, Motorola devices are mostly launched in the US and India. As such, we might not get the Razr Fold in Malaysia, at least not in an official capacity. Book-style foldable phones are no longer rare these days, so Motorola's decision to enter the market is also questionable. The Moto Razr Fold needs to offer something unique enough to prevent this from being a flop.
