CES 2026: Razer unveils a gaming headset with AI enhancements

It's clear that 2025 isn't the peak of the AI boom, as companies continue to slap the buzzword everywhere this early January. CES 2026 is well underway, and already we've seen plenty of new stuff. Among them is Razer's latest proof of concept, a headphone with AI features.

Project Motoko

This CES, Razer has unveiled something unusual again. Its new concept device is a wireless AI vision headset dubbed Project Motoko. Essentially, it's a headset with a Snapdragon chip that helps generate augmented AI computer vision. Project Motoko uses a pair of front-facing cameras to capture what you 'see', before using AI to process a variety of functions.

In the intro video, Razer showcased how Project Motoko can be used to summarise the contents of a book you read, provide suggestions, and more. In essence, it's more of a wearable with machine learning features than a gaming headset. It also has an AI assistant with support for voice commands. Razer calls it the future of wearable AI, so perhaps the company is expecting others to design devices like this in the coming years.

Just a concept device?

As with previous CES, there are many Razer concept devices that never see mass production. After all, we still haven't seen that Razer Toaster yet. Whether Project Motoko becomes an official product is questionable, but our bet is that it won't happen.
