CIMB & Maybank will soon move SecureTAC approvals from SMSes to their apps

In the near future, CIMB and Maybank will be moving their SecureTAC approval to their respective apps. This is part of the banks' to further safeguard your money from scam SMSes and is also, in line with the Bank Negara Malaysia.

For CIMB users, the bank will move SecureTAC approval to CIMB Clicks App or CIMB OCTO App. So starting from 20 May 2023, all CIMB Clicks transactions including FPX transfers will be included. Activating SecureTAC on the apps is fairly straightforward, as you just have to follow the steps below.

As for Maybank users, Secure2u will exclusively be on the MAE app to replace MSOS codes for Maybank Credit and Debit cards. It will take immediate effect from 1 July 2023 where all online card spending will require Secure2u approvals. You may follow the steps in the images above.
