CIMB Bank has launched Amira, its new AI-powered digital assistant, with no cost to customers. Starting from 21 July 2025, Amira will begin reaching out to selected users through official CIMB phone numbers, offering reminders for payment dues and motor insurance renewals.

A new initiative to improve customer's engagement

This initiative is part of CIMB’s digital transformation strategy aimed at improving customer engagement through automation. Unlike traditional chatbot interfaces, Amira delivers updates via phone calls, combining automation with a human-like experience.

The calls will originate from CIMB’s verified contact numbers, which customers can cross-check through the bank’s official Customer Help Centre page.

CIMB encourages users to verify all incoming calls before proceeding, as part of its ongoing efforts to promote transparency and protect customers from scams.
