If you're an audio enthusiast, you may have heard of Cabasse before. The French loudspeaker manufacturer now has a presence in Malaysia, having launched its The Pearl Collection here for audiophiles. Below is an overview of the six models available.
The Pearl
The first model is simply dubbed The Pearl. It's designed for larger spaces of 350 square feet, The Pearl features Cabasse's tri-coaxial speaker technology and a powerful 25cm subwoofer for deep, distortion-free bass and an immersive 360° soundstage. On the software side, it supports ultra-high-resolution streaming and seamless multi-room playback.
The Pearl Akoya
Next up, we have a direct successor called The Pearl Akoya. Intended more for rooms of 200 to 350 square feet, this model also features the tri-coaxial driver and a bass speaker. It promises to deliver powerful bass and "concert-like precision" in its compact body. Thanks to its size and protective carry case, The Pearl Akoya is also travel-friendly.
The Pearl Myuki
Another model is The Pearl Myuki, which can deliver audio up to 109dB in stereo mode. It can also run in mono mode at up to 99dB RMS. This model packs a precision-engineered DOM 45 full-range loudspeaker and dual 12 cm bass drivers inside a honeycomb push-push layout. In addition, this is a portable model with a 12-hour battery life and tactile LED controls.
The Pearl Pelegrina
The fanciest of the six is The Pearl Pelegrina. This high-end speaker system has a dynamic range of 134 dB and can deliver 3700W RMS per speaker. Using Cabasse's tri-coaxial driver and a powerful 30cm HELD woofer, it promises unmatched precision on the whole audio frequency spectrum. As a large 130cm tall speaker with a 48cm spherical enclosure, The Pearl Pelegrina is suited for much larger spaces.
The Pearl Keshi
Another compact model is The Pearl Keshi, a 2.1-ch speaker featuring two small satellite speakers connected to a larger subwoofer. It can deliver an impressive 1050W RMS of total power (300W each satellite + 450W bass subwoofer). It also supports high-resolution audio, multi-room connectivity, and streaming platforms like Spotify.
The Pearl Sub
Lastly, there is The Pearl Sub - a high-definition 2.1-connected active subwoofer. The Pearl Sub comes with an amp and DAC inside its compact body to deliver hi-res audio. This 25cm subwoofer delivers 2000W of peak power output, promising enhanced bass dynamics with "remarkable clarity and depth".
