In case you forgot, Call of Duty (COD) Warzone Mobile was announced last year and many thought about what would happen to the current COD Mobile game app. Well, turns out that it's counting its days this year.

According to a document titled "Anticipated Acquisition by Microsoft Corporation of Activision Blizzard, Inc", it revealed that "CoD: Mobile is expected to be phased out over time (outside of China) with the launch of Warzone Mobile". If we are being honest, we can't say that we are too surprised about this since Warzone Mobile is coming.

In the same section, it also mentioned that COD Warzone Mobile will be released this year albeit without a specific date. On top of that, it is unknown if the players' accounts in COD Mobile would be combined with Warzone Mobile since the former has its own ecosystem of skins and battle passes. Warzone Mobile is said to have a cross-progression system of the PC and console versions.

For the benefit of COD Mobile players, it would be good if their accounts can be saved or somehow carried over to Warzone Mobile if possible. In any case, we will just have to wait and see how it phases out in time. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
