Recently, Canon Marketing Malaysia (Canon) announce its smallest and lightest EOS R system camera - the EOS R100. Canon said this is the most affordable in the EOS R camera lineup to date, with a price of RM2379 for the body only. If it includes the lens, then it's priced at RM2899.
Weighing at approximately 356g (which is the equivalent of a 330ml canned drink), the EOS R100 has all the necessary camera features, including a high-definition built-in electronic viewfinder (EVF), autofocusing (supported by Eye and Face Detection) and image stabilisation. Of course, video recording is available as well at 4K UHD resolution at up to 25FPS or FHD at up to 60FPS.
It has a couple of video features too, such as the Hybrid Auto mode that can turn your still photos and video snippets into a short movie of the day clip, as well as a 4K Timelapse Video mode that automatically takes shots of a scene at predetermined intervals. Slow-mo mode with 120p high frame rate recording is available too, alongside Eye Detection AF and Movie Digital IS to keep people in focus.
The EOS R100 can also be paired with over 80 EF lenses via the EF-EOS R Mount Adapter. To read the rest of the specs, you can check out the table below for your reference:
