For camera buffs who are looking for a small and compact shooter, this new camera from Canon may be just up your alley. The new Canon Powershot G9X Mark II brings almost DSLR-like performance to the compact camera segment, which includes a high burst mode.

The camera comes with Digic VII processor, first seen in the larger G7 X Mark II. This processor enables Raw burst shooting at up to 8.2 fps for ~21 frames (the previous model shot around 1 fps in Raw), and Canon has added Dual Sensing Image Stabilization, meaning that information from the lens and sensor is combined to offer a claimed 3.5 stops of image stabilization. It shares the same 28-82mm equivalent F/2-4.9lens from the original G9, as well as the 1-inch sensor.

Also included in the camera are new improvements in camera software, which includes improved AF tracking, better scene recognition in Auto mode as well as in-camera RAW conversion. The Canon Powershot G9X Mark II will be retailing with a sticker price of USD 529 (~RM 2373). Stay tuned to TechNave for Malaysia availability news and pricing.
