Canon has announced the launch of the EOS R System with body priced at RM9888

Today Canon has announced the launch of the Canon EOS R full-frame mirrorless camera with the body price starting at RM9888, four dedicated RF lenses, three types of RF mount adapters as well as battery grips. Being as it is part of the EOS line of products, it is designed to be compatible with existing EF as well as EF-S lenses when used with the recently launched RF mount adapters.

Speaking of lenses, Canon also launched 2 super telephoto lenses and a single prime lens which is the EF 400mm f/2.8L IS III USM as well as the EF600MM f/4L IS III USM which features improved stabilization and a electronic focus ring as well as the EF-M32mm f/1.4 STM.

Tech spec wise, the camera comes equipped with a 30.3 megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor, DIGIC 8 image processor, 100~12800 expandable up to 1024000 with H2, 8fps continous shooting, video up to 8k 30fps, 5355 AF point positions with either 143/99 maximum focus points depending on lens, 3.15-inch display and it weighs in at 660 g.
