If you're looking for a cinema camera but can't deal with the huge sizes, the new camera from Canon could be a solution for you. The camera manufacturer has just announced the EOS C70, which is a digital cinema camera with a body closer to the shape and size similar to a full-frame mirrorless camera.

According to Canon, the EOS C70 will be the first camera within the Cinema EOS lineup to support the new RF lens mount. It comes with a 4K Super 35mm CMOS DGO (Dual Gain Output) sensor that allows it to record high-quality 4K videos in 10-bit colour. It also uses the DIGIC DV7 image-processing engine for faster providing, making it possible to record 4K videos at up to 120P.

Besides that, Canon also introduced the new Mount Adapter EF-EOS R 0.71x. With this, it's possible to use the EF series lenses with the EOS C70 for video recording. The benefit of this is getting a viewing angle that's similar to what a full-frame lens delivers. Also, the wider range of lenses means videographers can try out new ideas.

Both the EOS C70 camera and EF-EOS R 0.71x mount adapter will only be available in December 2020, though Canon has yet to announce the prices.
