Today, Canon Malaysia is proud to present the world’s first auto-intelligent flash - the Speedlite 470EX-AI Flash and it's now available at Canon Image Square stores and authorized Canon dealers nationwide for RM1949 (including 6% GST). Just so you know, it's called intelligent for a good reason, since it received the “Best Photo Innovation” award from the Technical Image Press Association Awards 2018 (TIPA).
Equipped with advanced sensors and motors, the Speedlite 470EX-AI is able to detect how far the subject is away from the flash and automatically adjusts the flash, assisting the users to have the optimum bounce angle and the perfect lighting effortlessly. It comes in two modes - full-auto and semi-auto, full-auto is great for those who are beginners while the latter gives the pros the flexibility to adjust the flash angle and brightness to their preferences.
Combined with a flash coverage from 14mm to 105mm, it is capable of accommodating a variety of scenes of different distances and angles, as well as remembering the settings that the user has set. Even if it returns to the original angle to achieve the same light regardless of portrait or landscape camera orientation. Below is the official specifications:
