Just a few hours ago, the Nothing brand just announced that the next Nothing Ear (stick) will be making its debut soon on 26 October 2022. But that's not the only announcement, Carl Pei just tweeted that the Nothing Ear (1)'s price tag will increase on the same said date.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why, since inflation has affected almost everything electronic globally. Originally priced at $99, the adjusted inflation price will increase to $149 due to "increase in cost", said Carl Pei. We think it would affect the Malaysian pricing too, from RM499 to a possible ~RM700, more or less.
When we started developing it, we only had 3 engineers. A year later, we have 185. During this time, the Ear (1) has received 15 firmware and tuning updates, and is a completely different product to when we launched it.

Carl Pei didn't stop there, he made another tweet justifying the increased price saying that when Nothing started developing, there were only three engineers and there are not 185. He also said the Ear (1) got 15 firmware and tuning updates, a completely different product when first launched.
We don't know about you, but we thought the extra explanation wasn't necessary. But anyway, the next wireless earpiece - Ear (stick) will make its debut on the aforementioned date. Until then, stay tuned for our official news coverage at TechNave.com.
