Catcha Digital buys TechNave for RM6.125 million

On 6 November 2025, Malaysia-based digital media company Catcha Digital Berhad announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, iMedia Asia Sdn Bhd, has entered into a conditional share-sale agreement to acquire 100 percent of Maxoom Sdn Bhd, the owner of the tech media platform TechNave, for a total cash consideration of RM6.125 million.

 

Deal details and strategic context

For your information, the agreement involves a two-part payment structure: a “Completion Sum” of RM1.8 million payable upon completion of the deal, followed by a “Post-Completion Sum” of RM4.325 million due 12 months later. Maxoom also provides a net asset guarantee of RM885 000 as of the completion accounts date.

Additionally, Catcha Digital stated that this move marks its strategic entry into the consumer technology segment. Plus, TechNave operates in English, Malay and Chinese, covering consumer gadgets, smartphones, accessories and electric vehicles.

Moreover, the platform also collaborates with major global tech brands. Through this acquisition, Catcha Digital aims to leverage TechNave’s strong audience base and advertiser relationships to expand its digital media ecosystem.
