After months of foreshadowing, Celcom has finally come out with their 4G LTE coverage. Going under the name Celcom 4G LTE, Celcom will be offering a 4G LTE Modem with 3 months worth of Celcom First data plan for RM199. This deal will be available tomorrow (23 April 2013) at selected Blue Cube outlets (Blue Cube @ sunway, Blue Cube Pavilion, Blue Cube Menara Celcom) and is limited to the first 1000 customers though. Those customers after the first 1000 will probably have to pay the standard monthly payment of RM138 per month.
There don't seem to be any contracts so far, and Celcom are claiming speeds of up to 50Mbps for an experience with (in their own words) "no lagging, no waiting and no delays for all your streaming, downloading and gaming needs". Related news includes the fact that initial Celcom 4G LTE coverage will cover the Klang Valley, Penang, Johor, Perak and Melaka. Overall coverage looks to be even larger than Maxis which just means more good news for Celcom 4G LTE subscribers. For more Celcom telco plans click here.
