Celcom, Digi, and Maxis signed Definitive Agreement to expedite deployment of fibre backhaul

Celcom, Digi, and Maxis signed a Definitive Agreement to work together to expedite the development of fibre backhaul to base stations which will then be shared by all the service providers. With that in mind, this ensures that there is no duplicated fibre infrastructure, driving down the cost of development which benefits both customers and providers.

This isn’t the first time telcos have in order to roll out infrastructure such as this. All the telcos mentioned above have been sharing cellular towers since the year 2000, driving down development cost for all service providers keen on using the said towers.
