Celcom announces the SafeMate which is the first Emergency Response Sidekick in Malaysia

Celcom announces the launch of Malaysia’s first emergency response sidekick called the SafeMate which allows the users to notify their friends, family members, or even the local authorities with a click of a button. The SafeMate is available from Celcom with an upfront payment of RM240 as well as an early bird offer of RM9.80 for 12 months.

With a button press, the SafeMate will attempt to contact a 24/7 emergency call center, if there is no response, the SafeMate will then attempt to contact their user’s emergency contacts. Lastly, if there is no response to the emergency contacts as well, it will proceed to contact the local authorities such as the local police. Not only that, the device also comes equipped with real-time GPS tracking to provide the contacts mentioned the ability to locate the user. The Celcom SafeMate is available at all Celcom Bluecube stores across Malaysia and the React Mobile - Safety App is available for download in the Apple App store as well as Google’s Playstore.
