Celcom celebrates Ramadan with the Royal Malaysia Police and a new Raya video "Letters from Mak"

To celebrate the spirit of Ramadan, Celcom has once again teamed up with the Royal Malaysia Police’s Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department through the company’s CSR (corporate social responsibility) program. This time, goodie bags comprising of Bubur Lambuk, dates, and bottled drinks were handed out.

The Bubur Lambuk distribution by Celcom Axiata Berhad and Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department Kuala Lumpur yesterday  lifted the Ramadhan spirit among dedicated traffic personnel on the field

The distribution parade comprising of senior officials from PDRM were accompanied by the senior management team from Celcom namely Azwan Khan Osman Khan, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Business Operations, Zuraida Jamaluddin, Chief Corporate Officer, Dave Morrow, Chief Digital Officer, and Surinderdeep Singh, Head of Enterprise Business & Solutions.

The Mounted Unit of PDRM also joined in the distribution of Bubur Lambuk by Celcom Axiata Berhad and Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department Kuala Lumpur yesterday

In the other corner, representatives from the Royal Malaysia Police were Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Noor Rashid Bin Ibrahim Deputy Inspector General, Royal Malaysian Police, Dato’ Mazlan Bin Lazim, Kuala Lumpur Deputy Chief Police, Senior Assistant Commissioner Shahrul Othman Bin Mansor, Director of Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department, Assistant Commissioner Mohd. Nadzri Bin Hussain, Chief of Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Kuala Lumpur, and Assistant Commissioner of Police, Zulkifli Jonit, Deputy Director, Enforcement/Traffic Control/Summons Management of the Traffic Police Department of Investigation and Enforcement.

This year marks the 13th year collaboration between Celcom and RMP’s Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department, as a part of Celcom’s corporate social responsibility and honouring the dedication and commitment shown by traffic personnel, especially during the challenging month of Ramadhan.

 

On the other hand, Celcom is also proud to release its web video entitled ‘Letters from Mak’. With the video length up to 3 minutes, ‘Mak Kata’ tells a story of values of sharing, family unity and appreciation towards loved ones, coinciding with the spirit of Aidilfitri.

In relation to that, Celcom will donate up to RM100, 000 when the ‘Letters from Mak’ video reaches above 2 million views. The donation will be given to four charity homes namely ‘Rumah Jagaan dan Rawatan Orang-orang Tua Al-Ikhlas’, ‘Pertubuhan Kebajikan Mental Selangor’, ‘Rumah Kebajikan dan Bimbangan At-Taqwa’ and ‘Pusat Kebajikan Jagaan Sri Sai Selangor’.
