It seems that Celcom has quietly released a new Celcom Home Wireless 5G plan. Priced at RM149 per month, it also has the same 7 days return policy alongside Celcom Home Wireless Family Ultimate and Family Lite plans.
Upon visiting the webpage, the Celcom Home Wireless 5G plan has an "unlimited" internet quota (more on that below) and the contract runs for 24 months. Just like the other two plans, a premium modem is included, as well as the add-ons for Plus Daily 50GB, Monthly 20GB and Monthly 40GB with the same price tags. It is noted that Celcom offers RM20 off for the first 24 months, with terms and conditions applied.
While not much information is given at first glance, the FAQ section offers more details. If you would like to register for this plan, you can just simply visit any participating bluecube stores in Sunway Pyramid, Prima Sri Gombak, Alamanda, The Gardens, Nu Sentral and Taman Tun Dr Ismail. In case the 5G loses its connectivity, the modem will connect to 4G.
On top of that, every registration needs a RM480 upfront payment fee and no Celcom staff is required to help you set it up since it's just a plug-and-play modem. The FAQ also revealed that it has a 1TB of data quota, which makes it look "unlimited" in a sense and almost impossible to drain it within a month.
