Just yesterday, more than 300 staff of Celcom Axiata Berhad celebrated the Year of the Rooster with Chief Executive Officer Michael Kuehner and the senior management.

The staff turned up in vibrant and colourful Cheong Sams and a majority in different hues of red, sharing the festive joy at the lobby as a renowned lion dance troupe, known as Gao Feng Lion Dance Association Malaysia coming all the way from Malacca, they culminated with the gesture of the lions ‘eating Mandarin oranges and spitting out the skin’ as a symbolic act of blessing, to signify abundance for the year ahead. The celebratory mood was heightened when a God of Prosperity cosplayer made his way through the crowd and tossed oranges to eager staff.

Michael wooed the staff with his Chinese New Year greetings while Danny Chew, Chief of Sales of Celcom Axiata Berhad signaled the start of the celebration by wishing everyone an auspicious Chinese New Year.
Energetic Lion dancers, decked in blue and gold made their way to Menara Celcom bringing prosperity and good fortune to the telco. Their riveting and exhilarating performances captured the hearts of Celcom staff together with the spirit of ushering in the 2017 Chinese New Year, Year of the Rooster!
The lively event was wrapped up with photo sessions by Celcom’s staff against a festive backdrop together with Celcom’s Management team who distributed Ang Pao’s while many took the opportunity to wish each other a prosperous year ahead.
