CelcomDigi has recently received recognition as the best mobile network coverage in Malaysia. The achievement is based on the Ookla Speedtest report for Malaysia for the first and second quarters of 2024 (Q1-Q2 2024). So, what should you know about it?
According to Ookla Speedtest data analysis, CelcomDigi topped the Best Mobile Coverage category with a Coverage Score of 30.73%. It recorded a scan count of nearly 249 million on 303,016 devices and a confirmed coverage area of 106,366 km² across the country.
Currently, CelcomDigi operates a 4G network covering 97% of populated areas nationwide. It has also modernized all components of its network, i.e. RAN, core and transport, with 5G-ready equipment, of which over 90% of its network sites are now 5G-ready.
By the end of 2024, CelcomDigi expects 75% of the company's network to be modernized, making it the largest and most modern digital network in the country.
