Celcom customers got the surprise of their lives last Thursday night, when local celebrities came delivering their new Apple Phone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus right to their doorsteps. This was organized by Celcom Axiata Berhad, using their FIRST™ by Celcom plans to reward their faithful customers.
Consisting of a handful of Celcom FIRST™ customers living around Klang Valley area who had pre-ordered the latest Apple smartphones from 9 October to 14 October, these loyal customers were chosen to experience the privilege of getting a special delivery from local celebrities. Needless to say, all of them were amused, delighted and speechless by the sudden appearance of Amber Chia, Scha Al-Yahya, Winnie Soo, Jack Lim, Shaheizy Sam, Ella Aminuddin, Yasmin Hani, Sha’arin Mohammed Razali Wong and Awal Ashaari outside their homes.

Before the celebrities’ delivery journey, all of them were gathered at the Blue Cube@Sunway Pyramid for the midnight launch together with Zalman Aefendy Zainal Abidin, Chief Marketing and Sales Officer, Celcom Axiata Bhd and Tuan Syed Md Najib Syed Md Noor, Chief Customer Service and Retail Officer of Celcom Axiata Bhd.

“When I was first told a celebrity was going to deliver my phone, I totally did not expect Soo Wincci to be the one delivering it to my doorstep.” said Teh Ooi Keat, one of the many lucky Celcom customers, who has been a Celcom customer for almost a year.

Rozali Ahmad, another lucky Celcom customer, said it was almost unbelievable to meet Shaheizy Sam delivering his pre-ordered phone to him at 2am. “I was actually anticipating someone like Neelofa to deliver the phone to me, but Shaheizy was equally as surprising and awesome,” he said.

Aside from the lucky customers who got to meet the celebrities at their homes, there were six other lucky Celcom customers too. Walk-in customers Shawn Low, 25, and Jesseca Chow, 23, who are friends, arrived at Celcom’s Blue Cube@Sunway Pyramid 33 hours before the midnight launch on Thursday managed to get their brand new iPhones for only RM6.50. Both Chow and Low expressed amazement by getting away their iPhone 6s for only RM6.50, as they just actually wanted to experience queueing up for more than 30 hours.
